One of the most important aspects of Mafia Wars is getting your 501 mob family together. There are many reasons to get your mob family to 501 (or above). Having a larger mafia family gives you better stats in fights, a better chance of winning a war, allows you to collect more boosts (Iced and Level), and gives you more chances to help out mafia members which gives you experience and loot.
There are many fan pages at Facebook that will help you to grow your Mafia Wars family to 501+. They do this by "Blasting" your Facebook profile onto 1000s of other fans walls. This can be a bit overwhelming, but after you have added these members to your Mafia Wars you will be better off in the game. One group that I use, and has helped increase my mafia substantially is "Mafia Wars Best Pimping to the Max - Get 501 Mafia Invites in 1 Blast".
The steps to have them "blast" your Facebook profile are:
1►Click "Become a Fan" Button
2►Click "Suggest to Friends"
3►Select All Your Friends
4►Click Send Invitation
5►Post Your Proof Of Invitation http://www.facebook.com/to
In addition to having your profile "blasted" you can check your Facebook homepage for other fans that are having their profiles "blasted" and add them to your mafia.
